We are a group of like-minded and socially committed individuals including retired IAS officers, eminent jurists, illustrious academics, scientists, engineers and other professionals. Together we launched the ‘Institute for Societal Advancement’ (ISA) as a registered body in May 2004 under the Travancore-Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable societies Act, 1955. ISA has ever since been offering a platform for concerted thought and action for the deliverance and betterment of the poor.
We are a non-profit NGO wherein the dynamic intellectual resource pool of ours and other kindred hearts is employed in consultancy services in the diverse realms of infrastructure development, decentralized planning, tribal development, urban planning, rural water supply etc. and the funds generated there from are carefully channelized into various activities for societal advancement including land, water and agricultural development in poor tribal areas, running study support centers in the tribal belt and for action research.
